FIELD: gas-discharge engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed gas-discharge device that can be used to produce DC glow discharge for various purposes, primarily for pumping gas lasers, has cathode in the form of hollow cylinder and anode in the form of at least four rods uniformly disposed within cathode and equally spaced from its axis. Hollow cylinder guide is made in the form of equal-radii circle arcs whose convex part is aimed away from hollow cylinder axis, all cathode sections being equidistant from anode rods. Developed surface of cathode enhances discharge current. ^ EFFECT: enhanced specific plasma glow intensity per unit volume, precluded azimuthal heterogeneities of glow discharge. ^ 1 cl, 1 dwg |
