In case the tube 18 is over-filled, the upper side tube 36 allows fluid to flow into the bag 34. The bag 34 has a drain tube 42 which is received in a socket 46 when the apparatus is not in use. A flexible tube 16 connected to a catheter adapter 12 is used to introduce urine at the top of the tube 18.
