PURPOSE: An apparatus for relaying EPG(Electronic Program Guide) of a digital television receiver is provided to reduce a period of time required for receiving EPG data of all of broadcasting channels by receiving only EPG data of the broadcasting channels, synthesizing the EPG data into a single data item and transmitting the synthesized data to the digital television receiver. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus(200) for relaying EPG of a digital television receiver includes a receiver(202), a synthesizer(204), a converter(206), and a transmitter(208). The receiver receives a plurality of broadcasting channels and EPG information of the channels. The synthesizer synthesizes the EPG information items of the plurality of channels into a single data item. The converter converts the synthesized EPG data into RF(Radio Frequency) data. The transmitter transmits the RF data to the digital television receiver.
