FIELD: rare-earth metals technology. ^ SUBSTANCE: method of obtaining gallium from gallium-containing raw material consists in that raw material is placed in cast iron-manufacture furnace, after which gallium-containing cast iron is smelted. Molten gallium-containing cast iron is then placed in amount 1 to 10 t into electric furnace, wherein metal is subjected to heat treatment at temperature at least 700°C, after which gallium is evaporated from gallium-containing cast iron over a period of time long enough to vaporize up to 95% gallium, gaseous gallium is cooled and collected in container. Gallium-containing raw material is a complex naturally occurring material and/or man-made materials with gallium concentration at50 g/t. ^ EFFECT: increased degree of gallium recovery, reduced amount of impurities contained therein, and simplified technology. ^ 6 cl, 1 tbl |
