The inventive method for liquid distillation consists in supplying a liquid to a evaporator formed by an open channel and in heating said liquid during the motion thereof along the evaporator by supplying heat to the side walls thereof. Vapours produced during water heating and a distillate produced during water evaporation are removed. When distilled water is supplied to the input of said open channel, a flow is formed in such a way that the ratio between the maximum width and the maximum height of the cross section thereof ranges from 0.1 and 10.0. The inventive device for liquid distillation comprises a cylindrical body, an evaporator in the form of an open channel which is arranged along a cylindrical spiral line, a heating element, a unit for vapour evacuation and a unit for distillate evacuation. One of the walls of the open groove is formed by the sidewall of the body. The heating element is coaxially disposed outside the body. The maximum width of open flow area of said open channel ranges between 0.1 and 10.0 of the maximum height thereof. |
