FIELD: organic chemistry, peptides, chemical technology. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for preparing cyclic pentapeptide: cyclo-(Arg-Gly-Asp-D-Phe-N-MeVal) by cyclization reaction of linear pentapeptide taken among the group consisting of: H-Arg(Pbf)-Gly-Asp(OBzl)-D-Phe-N-MeVal-OH, H-Gly-Asp(OBzl)-D-Phe-N-MeVal-Arg(Pbf)-OH, H-Asp(OBzl)-D-Phe-N-MeVal-Arg(Pbf)-Gly-OH, H-D-Phe-N-MeVal-Arg(Pbf)-Gly-Asp(OBzl)-OH or H-N-MeVal-Arg(Pbf)-Gly-Asp(OBzl)-D-Phe-OH followed by removal of protecting group and if necessary the further transformation of the end product to physiologically acceptable salts.
