PURPOSE: To provide an opening and closing type preheater for submerged nozzle, which protects surrounding facilities of the submerged nozzle and preheating the submerged nozzle promptly and uniformly by blocking heat and flame of a preheating burner discharged to an upper part of a preheating oven when preheating the submerged nozzle. CONSTITUTION: In a device for preheating a submerged nozzle(110) used for injecting molten steel in a tundish(108) into a mold, the opening and closing type preheater for the submerged nozzle comprises a body part(10) comprising a preheating oven(12) of which upper part is opened, and preheating burner(14) installed under the preheating oven to heat the inside of the preheating oven; an opening and closing part(30) comprising an opening and closing cylinder installed on an outer upper part of the preheating oven, and an opening and closing member(34) opened and closed by the opening and closing cylinder to open and close an upper part of the preheating oven; and a lifting and lowering part(50) comprising a liftable and lowerable cylinder installed under the preheating oven, and a supporting frame(54) to a lower part of which the liftable and lowerable cylinder is fixed, and which vertically guides the preheating oven so that the preheating oven is lifted and lowered.
