FIELD: mechanical engineering; noise protection means. ^ SUBSTANCE: in proposed noise-absorbing hood of gas-turbine plant containing outer housing and inner perforated panel with noise-absorbing material placed in between, box section longitudinal and cross ribs are uniformly spaced on inner wall of housing forming rectangular compartments. Shell with longitudinal and cross partitions is secured on ribs. Noise-absorbing material is placed between shell and perforated panel in compartments formed by partitions and exceeding in size compartments formed by ribs. ^ EFFECT: improved safety of gas-turbine plants owing to decrease of noise in low-frequency range. ^ 3 dwg
