A plant growth substrate product comprises man-made vitreous fibres impregnated with a wetting agent which is a non-ionic fatty acid polyglycol ester surfactant, generally of formula RC(O)O[CH2CH2O]nH. R is preferably C15 or greater and n is preferably from 4 to 9. The product shows an advantageous combination of properties for plant growth substrates, including reduced phytotoxicity. |
