PURPOSE: A recording device of a holographic ROM is provided to add a shutter for sequentially cutting off signal beams to edges from a disk center on top of a data mask while recording data of a holographic ROM. CONSTITUTION: A beam splitter(22) separates a beam incident from a light source(10) into a signal beam and a reference beam. A conical mirror(32) radiates the reference beam on a lower side of a disk(50). A data mask(48) is aligned on top of the disk(50), and radiates the signal beam on an upper side of the disk(50) through bit patterns. A cut-off shutter(46) is disposed on top of the data mask(48), and cuts off the signal beam to edges from a disk center.
