The invention relates to information engineering, in particular to an information system for goods and/or services for information devices comprising a server for processing and supplying information (PSI) connected to the inter-network interface means of an information operator. Said PSI server is also connected to the computers of at least two alternative sources of the same type goods and/or services in such a way that it can receive information in a set format from each said source and comprises an information input unit which is connected to a channel for communicating with said sources, a unit for storing information on goods and/or services connected to the information input unit and an indexing and information retrieval unit connected to the units for inputting and storing information on goods and/services and means for the access of the communication device users to the unit for storing information on goods and/ or services connected to an inter-network interface means of the communication operator. Said system makes it possible to obtain updated catalogued information on goods and/or services to provide the users of the communication device with said information in such a way that they are enabled to navigate through the catalogue and to carry out a full-text research.
