FIELD: metallurgy; constructional economically-alloyed steel production. SUBSTANCE: the invention presents constructional economically- alloyed steel with the two-phase ferrite-martensitic structure used at a cold heading of high-strength rod fixing details. The offered. steel contains the following components in the ratio (in mass %): carbon- 0.06-0.11; manganese - 0.30-0.9; silicon - 0.01-0.15; boron - 0.0005- 0.0050; vanadium - 0.005-0.08; aluminum - 0.02-0.06; the titanium - 0.01-0.04; sulfur - 0.005-0,020; nitrogen - 0.005-0.015; calcium - 0.001-0.010. At that: Ti/48 + Al/27 - N/14 >= 0.6 x 1010-3; Mn + 0.5 x C >= 0.80; Ca/S >= 0.065. Technical result of the invention is increase of characteristics of hardenability of the stated steel that will allow to ensure the guaranteed level of a consumer properties and through hardenability of the metal products with a diameter up to 20 mm. EFFECT: the invention allows to increase the steel hardenability and to provide the guaranteed level of the steel consumer properties. 2 tbl
