PURPOSE: A winch is provided to simplify the shape of a housing by installing a worm wheel and a drum at a shaft fixed at a housing and to simplify the shape of the worm wheel and the drum by forming spline teeth on the outer peripheral surface of a spline unit and installing a sleeve on the spline unit. CONSTITUTION: A winch(1) is composed of a housing(10), a support bracket(20), a fixed shaft(30), a worm wheel(40), a drum(50), a sleeve(61), a sleeve moving unit, a worm shaft(70), and a motor. The housing has an inlet(11) which is opened to the side. One end of the fixed shaft is fixed in the housing and the other end is extended out of the housing through the inlet of the housing and settled at the support bracket. The worm wheel has a through-hole formed axially in the center, a worm gear unit(41), and a first spline unit(43) having spline teeth formed on the outer peripheral surface of an axial one end and the worm wheel rotates for the fixed shaft in the housing to face the first spline unit toward the inlet of the housing by inserting the fixed shaft in the through-hole. The drum comprises a through-hole formed axially in the center, a bobbin unit(51), and a second spline unit(53) having spline teeth on the outer peripheral surface of the axial one end. The fixed shaft is inserted into the through-hole and the drum rotates about the fixed shaft to adjoin the second spline unit with the first spline unit in the housing and to expose the bobbin unit out of the housing between the housing and the support bracket. The sleeve has spline grooves engaged with the spline teeth of the first and second spline units and the sleeve is installed at the first and second spline units to reciprocate axially the spline grooves by engaging with the spline teeth of the first and second spline units. The sleeve moving unit is connected with the sleeve to reciprocate the sleeve. The worm shaft is mounted in the housing to engage rotatively a worm unit with the worm gear unit. An output shaft of the motor is linked with the worm shaft. |
