PURPOSE: A multi-storied channel is provided to extend the utilization area for agricultural land by reducing the occupancy area of a drainage way and to do rice-field farming and dry-field farming possibly on salty area such as reclaimed land, etc. CONSTITUTION: The multi-storied channel(10), as a concrete structure having an irrigation channel(11) and a drainage way(12), functions as a levee which divides cultivated land(1) into two. The bottom(11a) of the irrigation channel(11) is formed higher than the bottom of the cultivated land(1) to make an inflow of agricultural water into the cultivated land(1) smoothly, and the bottom(12a) of the drainage way(12) is formed lower than the thick ground for cultivation(4) to drain off underground water of the ground for cultivation(4) smoothly along a drainpipe. The drainage way(12) contains drainage holes(13) connected to the bottom of the cultivated land(1) to drain off the agricultural water of the cultivated land(1) smoothly. The drainpipe(20) is laid on a boundary between the ground for cultivation(4) and the lower ground(5) to penetrate the wall of the drainage way(12), made of a synthetic pipe or a steel pipe to bear earth pressure and not to be corroded and provided with conveyance holes(21) to drain underground water and to supply underground water to the drainage way(12).
