PURPOSE: Cellulose fiber is characterized by being cross-linked with sericin, having an affinity for skin and improving the skin. The cellulose fiber is useful for functional clothes. CONSTITUTION: Cellulose fiber is obtained by cross-linking with sericin with a cross-linking agent. The cellulose fiber is cotton, rayon, spun blend fiber or union cloth containing the cellulose fiber. Content of the sericin is 0.1-50wt.% based on weight of the cellulose fiber. The cross-linking agent is BTCA and malic acid containing at least two of carboxylic groups.
