SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MANAGING CURRENT ASSETS USING SNMP

PURPOSE: A system and a method for managing current assets using an SNMP(Simple Network Management Protocol) are provided to enable an ISP(Internet Service Provider) to manage devices of diverse makers through an unified management system by managing unit information embedded to a data device with a standard serial number mapped to each production serial number. CONSTITUTION: An assets management service providing server(110) registers the production serial number of each data device bought from the device maker by matching the production serial number with the standard serial number one to one. If the registered data device is distributed to each organization, the assets management service providing server manages a mounting state of the assets including the unit in the distributed data device as a used state and an unused state. A database management server(120) manages databases(121-124) for storing various kinds management information including the production/standard serial number of each data device and assets related information including the unit.
