MULTI-CHANNEL OPTICAL SWITCH FOR EFFICIENTLY PROCESSING HIGH-CAPACITY SIGNALS

PURPOSE: A multi-channel optical switch and a fabricating method thereof are provided to process efficiently large optical signal by forming a plurality of channels. CONSTITUTION: A multi-channel optical switch includes a supporter(240), an input terminal fiber(200), a plurality of output terminal fibers(201-204), a plurality of fine mirrors(222-224), and a plurality of actuators(232-234). The input terminal fiber is fixed to the supporter and is used for receiving optical signals. The output terminal fibers are fixed to the supporter and are used for outputting the optical signals of the input terminal fiber. The fine mirrors are used for reflecting the optical signals of the input terminal fiber in order to guide the reflected optical signals to a predetermined number of output terminal fibers. The actuators are connected to the fine mirrors in order to control positions of the fine mirrors.
