LCD FOR PREVENTING SIGNAL PAD DEFECT INCLUDING SHORT OF SIGNAL PAD AND A MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to prevent pad defect including pad short even though a conductive material inflows to a link and a TCP(Tape Carrier Package) is attached to a portion of a dummy pattern for protecting the link due to process error by forming at least two dummy patterns electrically isolated. CONSTITUTION: A signal link(143) connects a signal line and a signal pad(143), wherein the signal pad transmits driving signals to the signal line and the signal line transmits the driving signals to a pixel region. At least two dummy patterns(151) are formed to protect the link, wherein the dummy patterns are electrically isolated from the link. The dummy patterns also are electrically isolated each other. The dummy patterns are formed of transparent conductive material.
