PURPOSE: A slide valve for a pneumatic system is provided to minimize the waste of the air and to maximally reduce noise generated in exhausting the air by removing the air only in a cylinder to be checked by installing the slide valve between supply and discharge hoses. CONSTITUTION: A slide valve for a pneumatic system comprises a slide body(210) and a piston rod(220). The slide body is composed of a rod hole(211) perforated therein; an air inlet hole(212) connected with a supply hose(141) across the rod hole and an air discharge hole(213) linked with a discharge hose(142), wherein the air inlet and discharge holes are bored across each other at the constant distance about the rod hole; and an emitting hole formed at the side of the air inlet and discharge holes connected with the supply and discharge hoses of the cylinder to discharge the air in the cylinder through the air inlet and discharge holes. The piston rod slides along the rod hole, has plural closing rings(221,222) installed on the outer periphery at the constant intervals, and opens and closes the air inlet and discharge holes according to a sliding motion of the rod hole.
