PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of simply and surely transferring related information of a still picture or the like related to a moving image when the moving image is transferred to an external device. SOLUTION: A photographed moving image, a still image file related to the moving image, a moving image file, a sound clip, and a play list are recorded on a storage medium together with date and time information (photographing date and time or the like) and positional information (photographing place or the like) acquired from an internal circuit of a digital video camera, and when the imaging apparatus reproduces the moving image on the storage medium and transmits the moving image to the external device, the imaging apparatus also detects the still image file related to the moving image, the moving image file, the sound clip, and the play list on the basis of the photographing date and time and photographing place information of the moving image, which is reproduced and transmitted, and transmits them together with the moving image.
