PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensor capable of rapidly and conveniently measuring chemical materials, particularly materials related to living body in blood, saliva or urine. SOLUTION: The sensor comprises a first cell whose volume is not substantially changed by external pressure, a second cell disposed within the first cell, internally filled with a stimuli-sensitive gel whose volume is changed by a chemical (biochemical) stimulus and transmitting a volume change of the stimuli-sensitive gel to the outside, a liquid path connected to the first cell and a specimen-supplying path for connecting the second cell to the outside. The first cell and the liquid supplying path are filled with a liquid. The liquid is moved within the liquid supplying path by the volume change of the stimuli-sensitive gel.
