PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temporary device easily taken out of an excavating hole together with a frame body of an upper stage in a compact shape, by easily moving a frame body of a lower stage downward in response to the digging-down depth of the excavating hole, and easily moving the frame body of the lower stage up to a position in close vicinity to the frame body of the upper stage after construction. SOLUTION: This earth retaining temporary device of the excavating hole is constituted so that the two frame bodies A and B constituted by connecting four bar-shaped frames 1 in a quadrangular frame shape are vertically arranged, and a prescribed length wire 2 extended from a four-corner part of the frame body B of the lower stage, is connected to a wire stopper 21, by slidably penetrating through a wire inserting hole 11 arranged in the four-corner part of the frame body A of the upper state. Thus, an interval between the upper-lower frame bodies A and B is freely changeably formed in a position becoming distant by the length of the wire 2 from a mutually vicinal position.
