<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide both a balloon pumping method and a balloon pump drive device which show an improved pressure response of a balloon. <P>SOLUTION: A pressure control valve 52 is opened while a pressure P1 is accumulated in an isolator 40, and a large pressure is applied to the balloon 92 when the balloon 92 is changed from a deflated state to an inflated one. Then, the pressure control valve 52 is closed once to decrease the pressure in an output chamber 44 of the isolator 40. When the balloon 92 inflates completely at a pressure P1', the pressure control valve 52 is opened again to decrease the pressure of the balloon 92. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
