LIGHT EMITTING DEVICE AND ELEMENT SUBSTRATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device capable of suppressing the area of a capacitor element, suppressing the variation in the luminance of light emitting elements induced by a fluctuation in gate voltage while using the transistors (TRs) manufactured by an existing process, and suppressing the occurrence of the degradation and the unevenness in the luminance of the light emitting elements accompanying the deterioration of an electroluminescence emitting material.

SOLUTION: The light emitting element is characterized by that the input of a video signal to pixels is controlled by the first TR; the second and third TRs are so controlled in switching according to the potential of the video signal in such a manner that the other turns off while one is on; the drains of the second and third TRs are connected to each other; the third and fourth TRs have the same polarities; the sources of the third and fourth TRs are connected to each other; and the fourth TR controls the current to be supplied to the light emitting element according to the potential of the drains of the second and third TRs.
