PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excessive temperature rise preventing device capable of enhancing safety of a resin made liquid heating vessel, by not only hampering heat transmission to a temperature fuse but also avoiding that the inner surface of the vessel reaches an ignition temperature. SOLUTION: A heater to heat liquid, and a temperature fuse to cut off current supply to the heater by detecting the temperature when the temperature of the vessel excessively rises are provided in a vessel body formed by having a plurality of planes, and a metallic plate with good heat conductivity is mounted to the inner surface of the vessel at the position where the temperature fuse is attached to the outer surface of the vessel while almost closely adhering to it. In addition, a gap between the metallic plate and the vessel inner surface is filled with grease with good heat conductivity. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
