PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic forming method for suppressing breakage during the swelling deformation. SOLUTION: In the hydraulic forming method for swelling and deforming a preform 10 by feeding forming medium to apply the hydraulic pressure inside the preform 10 formed by joining peripheries of overlapped plates 11 and 12, the flange part 16A of the preform extending in the outer peripheral direction during the swelling deformation is formed so as to have a sectional shape bent in the outer peripheral direction, and forming medium is fed inside the preform 10.
