PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem: when making a view reservation by a portable telephone set, even if outputting of video and sound of the reserved program is started upon the arrival of the reserved time, the user cannot view the program even though the view reservation is made in a state that the portable telephone set is stored in a bag or the like and the display is invisible. SOLUTION: When a reservation control means decides the time has reached a certain time before the view reservation starts, it not only notifies the user of the approaching of the reservation start time in voice, light emission and vibration, but also transmits a request to display a message to inquire whether or not the program is viewable to an onscreen processing means. By starting the output of the video and the sound of the reserved program from the point of time when user operation to the message is confirmed, it becomes possible to prevent the view reservation from being executed in spite of a state in which the user is unable to view the program.
