PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear motion guide device capable of assembling its slider without requiring skillfulness or much labor. SOLUTION: The linear motion guide device is formed so that the length L<SB>3</SB>of its rolling element retainer 22 meets the condition (L<SB>1</SB>+2R)>L<SB>3</SB>>(L<SB>1</SB>+2L<SB>2</SB>), where L<SB>1</SB>is the length of a rolling element return path 21a, R is the distance to the bottom of a rolling element direction changing path 20, and L<SB>2</SB>is the distance from the open end of a slider side raceway groove 19a to the root part of a rolling element scoop-up part 24.
