PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope that prevents a breakage of a lightguide fiber handle by restraining a moisture absorption of a lubricant when water has accumulated in the endoscope. SOLUTION: In the endoscope, a flexible porous tube 6 flexible throughout the entire length of flexible pipes 3 and 11 into which the lightguide fiber handle 5 to which the lubricant is applied is inserted and arranged. The porous tube 6 is filled with a moisture absorption member 7 or the porous tube 6 is filled with the moisture absorbing member 7 by arranging the flexible porous tube 6 almost throughout the area where the lightguide fiber handle 5 to which the lubricant is applied is arranged in parallel with the lightguide fiber handle 5.
