It is intended to provide oral care compositions which effectively promote the recalcification of decalfified enamel and positively prevent caries. An oral care composition characterized by containing a silk powder, sericin or fibroin (i.e., silk proteins) and/or hydrolysates thereof; and an oral care composition characterized by containing a silk powder, sericin or (i.e., silk proteins) and/or hydrolysates thereof together with a calcium compound typified by hydroxyapatite.
