METHOD FOR SCANNING IMAGE USING CCFL AND DEVICE APPLYING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A method for scanning an image using a CCFL(Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp) and a device applying the same are provided to quickly start scanning the image by minimizing scan delay due to warm-up and obtain the better scanned image by effectively updating a shading compensation factor. CONSTITUTION: A CCD(Charge Coupled Device) assembly(103) includes the CCFL(12) and an image sensor(13). A white sheet has the first section for calculating the shading compensation factor and brightness before image scanning and the second section for calculating the real-time brightness during the image scanning. A shading factor memory(18) stores the shading compensation factor. A shading compensation factor updater(16) updates the shading compensation factor by using a brightness signal obtained from the image sensor. A shading compensator(19) compensates image data obtained from the image sensor by using the shading compensation factor.
