PURPOSE: A method for driving a liquid crystal display panel and an apparatus thereof are provided to minimize the degradation of image quality due to the variation of a gate low voltage. CONSTITUTION: According to the apparatus for driving a liquid crystal display panel comprising a liquid crystal cell matrix defined by gate lines and data lines, a gate driver IC(40) supplies a gate high voltage during the first period, and the first gate low voltage independent of other gate lines during the next second period, and the second gate low voltage dependent on other gate lines during the next third period. And a power supply unit generates the gate high voltage, and generates the gate low voltage and supplies it as the first and the second gate low voltage through the first and the second transmission line respectively.
