摘要 PURPOSE: An array substrate of an in-plane switching mode LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) and a method for fabricating the array substrate are provided to reduce the resistance of gate lines, data lines and pad electrodes and minimize signal delay by forming the gate lines, data lines and pad electrodes using Cu/Ti. CONSTITUTION: An array substrate of an in-plane switching mode LCD includes a substrate(100), a gate electrode and a gate line composed of a barrier layer and a low-resistance metal layer formed on the substrate, a gate pad electrode formed at one end of the gate line, and a plurality of common lines formed in one direction, having a predetermined distance from the gate line. The array substrate further includes a data line(130) that intersects the gate line to define a pixel region and is composed of a barrier layer and a low-resistance metal layer, a data pad electrode formed at one end of the data line, common electrodes(114) extended from the common lines to the pixel region, a thin film transistor formed at the intersection of the gate line and data line, and a pixel electrode(134). The thin film transistor includes a gate electrode, source and drain electrodes, which are composed of a barrier layer and a low-resistance metal layer.
