摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct scattered rays at the precision of similar level thereafter even with a tomographic image acquired at any facility presented for use at other facilities. <P>SOLUTION: A correction start image is a SPECT tomographic image in which absorption correction is applied for an arbitrary attenuation coefficient. A convolutional integration is performed with a scattering function that monotonously decreases depending on the distance from an original point and the correction start image. An estimated scattered ray image is eventually acquired by multiplying with a scattered ray rate image calculated through simulation or experiment with an absorption correction factor image related to the attenuation coefficient employed at absorption correction (step 62). The correction start image is subtracted with the adjusted estimated scattered ray image to obtain an intermediate image (step 64). An absorption correction factor image ratio, where the absorption correction factor image for the attenuation coefficient employed at absorption correction is a denominator while the absorption correction factor image for the attenuation coefficient of near ideal value is a numerator, is multiplied with the intermediate image to acquire a corrected image (step 70). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
