<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable file printing in a printing apparatus even if files attached to an e-mail received in the printing apparatus cannot be printed in the printing apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A network system is provided with a scanner 10, a PC 30, a PC 40, a cellular phone 50, a PC 72 and a printer 80. The printer 80 determines whether or not attached files have printable data formats if the files are attached to the E-mail that is received from one of the scanner 10, the PC 30, the PC40 or the cellular phone 50, and stores the attached files into a non-volatile memory 87 if they do not have printable data formats. Then, the printer 80 transfers the attached files stored in the non-volatile memory 87 to the PC 72. The PC 72 converts the data formats of the attached files transferred from the printer 80 into data formats that can be printed in the printer 80 to transfer them to the printer 80. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
