<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner which can maintain high sharpness for a long period without degrading developability and transferability and can prevent interior contamination by maintaining the electrostatic characteristics with lapse of time under the environment of a low temperature and low humidity and a high temperature and high humidity, to provide a developer using the same and to provide an image forming method. <P>SOLUTION: The toner has coloring particles containing a binder resin, coloring agent and release agent and an external additive, in which the coloring particles are ≤25 in the fluctuation in the number average particle size, ≥0.975 in average circularity and ≤2.5 in the fluctuation of the circularity and the external additive is composed of the following (a), (b) and (c): (a) monodisperse silica having a true specific gravity 1.3 to 1.9, an average primary particle size 80 to 300 nm, an amount of alkoxy groups ≤3,000 ppm and an average carbon content 0.1 to 3mass%, (b) an inorganic compound of an average primary particle size ≥10 to <30 nm and (c) an inorganic compound of an average primary particle size 30 to 100 nm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
