<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid toner scatter and ensure steady toner conveyance in a toner replenishment device that conveys a fluid of a mixture of air and toner by means of pneumatic conveyance. <P>SOLUTION: Using a fluid conveying means for toner supply, the toner replenishment device conveys a fluid of a mixture of toner and air to a development device, via a conveying pipe, from a toner storage part disposed apart from the development device. In the toner replenishment device, a toner separating part for the fluid of the mixture, which communicates with the development device, is disposed near the development device and rotary valves surrounded by housings are disposed between the toner separation part for the fluid of the mixture and the development device and between the toner hopper and the toner mixing chamber of the toner storage part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
