<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for acquiring an image rich in gradation information, while naturally keeping relationship in size of local contrast. <P>SOLUTION: An image processor corrects the gradation of an input image, and includes a differential processing part; and a spread arithmetic part. The differential processing part spatially differentiates the input image, so as to acquire a differential image. The spread arithmetic part performs repetitive calculation for locally spreading a differential value included in the differential image. Thus, the relationship in size of contrast is locally reproduced, so as to acquire a processing image in a preceding stage for reproducing the contrast level of the whole image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
