<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst which selectively removes carbon monoxide from a reducing gas contained in an exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine, improving e.g. a ratio of the reducing gas. <P>SOLUTION: The catalyst for exhaust gas cleaning, generating hydrogen by decreasing the concentration of carbon monoxide, is prepared by covering a carbon monoxide shift catalyst layer with an upper layer consisting of a catalyst layer having an oxidation capacity capable of decreasing oxygen concentration. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
