PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide disk reproducing equipment capable of reproducing an image and sound without any uncomfortable feeling when performing reproduction after a pause regardless of the recorded contents of a video CD. SOLUTION: The disk reproducing equipment comprises a subsequent reproduction address detection section 18 for detecting an address on a disk 10 in which image data are recorded when reproduction data stored into an external memory 14 are the image data; a subsequent reproduction address storage section 19 for substituting an address that has been already stored for the detected address for storage every time when the address is detected by the subsequent reproduction address detection section 18; and a control microcomputer 17 for responding to the instruction of reproduction performed after the pause to resume the read of the data recorded on the disk 10 by a pickup 12 from the address stored at the subsequent reproduction address storage section 19.
