PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide magnetic particles for diagnostic drugs which avoid optical absorption due to black or brown magnetic composite particles conventionally used for a diagnostic application using an optical detection system and achieve high-sensitivity measurement. SOLUTION: The magnetic particle for the diagnostic drugs includes a core containing the magnetic particle and a visible light diffusing layer formed outside the core, and has a L value of 50 or more in a Lab color system, residual magnetization of 30% or less of saturation magnetization and a particle diameter of 0.5-15μm.
