PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of stains on the surface of a steel strip when various products subjected to chromate treatment or nonchromate treatment are produced by bypassing a plating unit in an electroplating line. SOLUTION: In an electroplating line provided with a pretreatment unit, electroplating unit and posttreatment unit in this order, a bypass line is provided below the electroplating unit, and a liquid receiving pan is provided below the bypass line. Further, it is preferable to provide a water feeder above the liquid receiving pan. In this setup, various products subjected to chromate treatment or nonchromate treatment can efficiently and stably be produced in a single line without performing plating in addition to electroplated products without trouble.
