PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device which has wide viewing angle characteristics and can improve its display quality. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display panel is provided with an effective display part DSP<SB>eff</SB>consisting of a plurality of pixels PX arranged in a matrix. An array substrate is provided with a plurality of scanning wiring lines Y extended in the row direction, a plurality of signal wiring lines X extended in the column direction so as to intersect the respective scanning wiring lines Y, common wiring lines C disposed between respective pairs of the scanning wiring lines Y, switching elements SW disposed on intersections of the scanning wiring lines Y and the signal wiring lines X, pixel electrodes EP electrically connected to the switching elements SW and a common electrode EC electrically connected to the common wiring lines C and forming an electric field to switch liquid crystal molecules included in a liquid crystal layer LQ together with the pixel electrodes EP. In the effective display part DSP<SB>eff</SB>, a pixel column LX consisting of a plurality of the pixels aligned in the column direction is disposed between the two neighboring signal wiring lines.
