PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To find frequency effects in a polarization characteristic as one of electrical characteristics of the ground, in response to a distance in the direction of an axis of a drill hole and a distance in a direction orthogonal to the axis of a drill hole. SOLUTION: An electrical logging apparatus comprises a conducting apparatus provided with an electrode cable, having one conducting electrode and a plurality of a potential measuring electrodes with different distances from a conducting point and inserted into the drill hole and simultaneously conducting at a plurality of frequencies, and an impedance-measuring apparatus for measuring an impedance between the potential measuring electrodes at each frequency. The electrical logging apparatus obtains impedance data at a plurality of the frequencies and the different distances from the conducting point, while an interval is maintained in the direction of the axis of the drill hole, and calculates specific resistance and the frequency effects (FE or PFE) of the ground, in response to the distance in the direction of the axis of the drill hole and the distance in the direction orthogonal to the axis of a drill hole through inversion.
