PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for treating a liquid which can precisely recognize a capillary force, is suitable to accumulate or store a predetermined liquid quantity, and can store a predetermined quantity of a reagent, and its manufacturing method and usage. SOLUTION: This device for treating a limited liquid quantity comprises at least one base body 1. The base body 1 has surface areas 6 and 7 on which different capillary forces act. One or more first surface areas 6a-6e have micro and/or nano-structure surfaces. The micro and/or nano-structure surfaces have regularly arranged structural elements A-E. The base body and the structural elements are formed of one material, and integrally connected to each other. The one or more first surface areas 6a-6e are provided with the reagent.
