PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a plant growth regulator producible at low cost and capable of favorably promoting plant growth by spreading use. SOLUTION: The plant growth regulator is obtained by adding a carbohydrate to bamboo shoots as the main component followed by carrying out a fermentation by microorganismic treatment to extract auxins, or the like, as growth hormones contained in the bamboo shoots.
