PURPOSE: A functional surgical gown is provided which is good in breathability, a water-repellent property, stretchability, and resistance to fluid flow, and which is unlikely to generate particles even after repeated cycles of use and washing, thereby offering less fatigue and greater comfort to a wearer wearing the gown during long surgical operations. CONSTITUTION: The functional surgical gown comprises: a gown body(1) formed of a non-woven fabric; a neck line(2) sewn by bias stitch; a cooling agent applied around the neck line(2) downward the gown body(1); raglan-type sleeves(3); snap buttons(4); an arm hole(5) stitched by a flat felled seam; and a cuff portion(6) formed of a knitted textile and having a bias taped inseam.
