PURPOSE: An LCD panel and a fabricating method thereof are provided to simplify a structure and process steps of a lower array substrate by reducing the number of mask process steps, thereby reducing the fabrication cost and improving fabrication yield. CONSTITUTION: A method for fabricating an LCD panel includes forming a first active layer of a thin film transistor, a second active layer of a storage capacitor, and a lower storage electrode(150) overlapped with the second active layer on a substrate, forming a gate insulating layer on the substrate on which the lower storage electrode and the first and second active layers are formed, forming a gate electrode and an upper storage electrode(152) overlapped with the lower storage electrode on the gate insulating layer, forming an insulating interlayer on the substrate on which the gate electrode and the upper storage electrode are formed, and forming a drain electrode and a source electrode on the insulating interlayer, the drain electrode being connected with the lower storage electrode and the source electrode opposing the drain electrode.
