PURPOSE: A method for inputting configuration information of a mobile terminal is provided to allow a user to search an image or video by using shape information, not a text. CONSTITUTION: A user divides a display window of a mobile terminal into a grid form with certain resolution(S10), assigns numbers sequentially to each part of the grid form(S20), and inputs status information to the display window which has been divided into the grid form, namely, inputs each assigned number with respect to desired shape information(S30). When numbers of each part are sequentially connected and displayed on the display window(S40), the user searches a desired image or video by using the displayed shape information(S50).
