<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor-driven blower and an electric appliance equipped with it capable of cooling efficiently a power device such as a switching element without causing the wind path loss to increase. <P>SOLUTION: The power device 23 is installed on a bulkhead to form a passage 29 leading from the discharge port 22 of a centrifugal fan 4 to a motor 2, for example the outer surface of a coupling part 18 (flange part 31), which involves no risk that the power device 23 disturbs the air stream inside the passage 29 in a case 5 nor the wind path loss will increase, and further because of its location on the upstream of the motor 2 part in the air flow generated by the centrifugal fan 4, it is possible to cool the power device 23 efficiently without being influenced thermally by the motor 2 part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
